- • Serve as the lead specialist within Interactive Brokers’ Global Sanctions Team to design, write, tune, and maintain sanctions screening rules and matching logic within the Fircosoft Continuity platform.
- • Analyze large volumes of screening alerts, false positives, and outcomes to identify optimization opportunities and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of sanctions screening controls.
- • Support the full lifecycle of screening rules including requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, and post-production validation.
- • Collaborate with Global Sanctions, Operations, Cashiering, and Programming teams to execute screening enhancements and coordinate production deployments.
- • Tune and refine fuzzy matching logic, stop word rules, and screening algorithms to reduce alert noise while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- • Maintain comprehensive technical and governance documentation for rule logic, tuning methodologies, and implementation procedures.
- • Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency, improve screening quality, and streamline alert management workflows.
- • Apply emerging technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance the performance of sanctions screening systems.
- • Work within a hybrid model requiring four days per week in the Chicago, Greenwich, or New York office, with one day of remote work.
- • Engage with global teams to ensure alignment on sanctions compliance standards across IBKR’s international operations.
- • Contribute to the firm’s mission of maintaining a robust, technology-driven compliance infrastructure in a fast-paced, global brokerage environment.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to integrate sanctions screening improvements with broader AML and financial crime prevention efforts.
- • Utilize analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable rule adjustments and system enhancements.
- • Communicate technical screening outcomes and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across departments.
- • Ensure all screening activities adhere to evolving regulatory requirements and internal governance policies.
