Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • As a Schadensachbearbeiter:in Reiseversicherung Frankreich, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals facing unexpected travel-related incidents, ensuring timely and compassionate claims handling within Sedgwick’s global mission to care for people in need.
  • Your day-to-day responsibilities include processing and reviewing travel insurance claims (e.g., baggage loss, medical emergencies, trip cancellations) with a focus on France, communicating with customers, service providers, and partners domestically and abroad—primarily in French—determining eligibility for benefits, documenting claim activities in internal systems, and contributing to process improvements and service quality enhancements.
  • You will join Sedgwick Germany GmbH in Düsseldorf, part of the globally recognized Sedgwick Group, a leader in claims management, risk analysis, and expert reporting. Despite being part of a large international organization, the German office maintains the agility and close-knit culture of a mid-sized company, serving primarily insurance clients with a commitment to excellence rooted in our ‘we care’ philosophy.
  • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in international claims handling, strengthen your trilingual communication skills (French, German, English), gain experience with claims management systems, and develop professional autonomy within a supportive, flat-hierarchy team that values initiative and collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an insurance specialist, insurance clerk, or commercial clerk for insurance and finance, or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent French language skills, preferably native proficiency, along with strong German and English abilities in both spoken and written form
  • Proficient use of MS Office and ideally experience with claims processing systems
  • Strong communication and service orientation, both verbally and in writing
  • Structured, independent work style combined with teamwork ability
