- • Coordinates scheduling and referrals for patient services within Pod 2 DMG-Oncology/Infusion/Wound, ensuring timely and accurate appointment bookings.
- • Collects patient and provider office data directly to confirm and create medical appointments in the electronic medical system.
- • Obtains necessary approvals for appointment changes or cancellations in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- • Maintains and updates provider contact information to ensure accurate scheduling and communication.
- • Enters all medical appointments, special instructions, and patient information into the electronic medical system with precision and compliance.
- • Follows all site-specific operational protocols and documentation standards to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
- • Performs additional duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the scheduling department.
- • Works full-time (40 hours per week) during Day Shift with training conducted onsite at a Wisconsin SSM Health location.
- • Utilizes frequent keyboard input and data entry to manage patient scheduling records and system updates.
- • Communicates orally with patients, providers, and internal teams to verify appointment details and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- • Uses vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances to read screens and documents accurately.
- • Relies on hearing and speech to communicate clearly, respond to alarms, and identify system alerts or equipment malfunctions.
- • Engages in frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive hand/arm and foot/leg movements throughout the workday.
- • Occasionally bends, stoops, kneels, squats, twists, or grips to access files or equipment.
- • Lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls objects weighing up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- • Rarely climbs or engages in activities requiring elevated physical exertion.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School diploma or GED, or 10 years of work experience
- • Ability to perform frequent data entry and keyboard use
- • Proficiency in using electronic medical systems and maintaining accurate documentation
- • Strong oral and written communication skills for patient and provider interactions
- • Ability to follow site-specific protocols and maintain compliance with documentation standards
- • Physical ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive movements
