• As a Scientific Solutions Intern, you will become an integral part of the Scientific Solutions Strategy Design Group. This group is at the forefront of Taconic's project planning, offering crucial genetic support that encompasses the development of breeding strategies, meticulous timeline management, and proactive risk assessment. Your role will be to provide essential support to this team, ensuring the seamless execution of complex research projects.
• Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining and improving our internal tools, standards, and documentation. This is vital for upholding the high-quality scientific service delivery that our clients expect. You will work closely with senior team members, learning from their expertise and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes. This internship is designed for individuals who possess foundational knowledge in biology and genetics, and who thrive on organizing information, analyzing data, refining workflows, and developing tools that enhance team efficiency.
• A significant aspect of your role will involve accurate data collection, organization, and analysis. You will assist in documenting and optimizing internal processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. This could involve streamlining workflows, clarifying procedures, or enhancing the accessibility of information for the team. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you help interpret data to support strategic decision-making.
• Furthermore, you will play a key role in modernizing and enhancing our proposal templates and internal tools. This includes contributing to the development and rollout of our team's SharePoint site, making critical resources and information more accessible to colleagues. By improving these tools, you will directly impact the team's ability to plan projects effectively and deliver superior service to our clients.
• You will have the unique opportunity to shadow members of the Strategy Design Group, gaining firsthand insight into their daily tasks, challenges, and successes. Attending weekly team meetings will provide a broader understanding of project pipelines, strategic discussions, and cross-functional collaboration. This immersive experience will allow you to learn and apply the sophisticated tools, software systems, and methodologies that are essential for scientific solutions project planning and proposal development at Taconic.
• Beyond the Strategy Design Group, you will gain valuable exposure to other functions within the broader Customer Support and Solutions group, as well as the overall Taconic organization. This cross-functional exposure will provide a comprehensive understanding of how different departments collaborate to achieve company-wide objectives and deliver exceptional client experiences.

🎯 Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Foundational knowledge of biology and genetics.
• Experience with SharePoint is preferred.
