đź“‹ Description

  • • Qodeworld is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic team, supporting critical, high-impact programs within a leading Banking client environment. This pivotal role is designed for an individual with a robust background in Agile delivery, a deep understanding of the Scrum framework, and a proven ability to navigate complex, regulated financial systems. As a Scrum Master, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and predictable delivery, working collaboratively with Product Owners, Engineering teams, and diverse business stakeholders.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to expertly facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies. This includes meticulously planning and leading Sprint Planning sessions to ensure clear sprint goals and achievable commitments, guiding Daily Stand-ups to promote team synchronization and identify immediate impediments, orchestrating Backlog Grooming sessions to refine user stories and ensure readiness for upcoming sprints, conducting insightful Sprint Reviews to showcase delivered value and gather feedback, and facilitating effective Retrospectives to identify areas for process enhancement and implement actionable improvements.
  • • Beyond ceremony facilitation, you will serve as a dedicated coach and mentor to the Agile teams. This involves imparting a deep understanding of Scrum principles, championing Agile best practices, and instilling a mindset of continuous improvement. You will empower teams to self-organize, embrace Agile values, and consistently enhance their delivery capabilities. Your coaching will extend to helping teams understand and leverage Agile metrics to drive informed decision-making and performance optimization.
  • • A crucial aspect of this role is the proactive identification and removal of impediments that hinder team progress and sprint delivery. You will act as a shield for the team, skillfully navigating organizational complexities and dependencies to clear blockers, mitigate risks, and ensure a smooth, uninterrupted flow of work. This requires a keen eye for potential issues and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Product Owners to ensure the development and maintenance of well-defined, prioritized backlogs. This includes assisting in the creation of clear, concise user stories with unambiguous acceptance criteria, ensuring that the product vision is effectively translated into actionable development tasks. Your partnership will help maximize the value delivered by the development team.
  • • Tracking and reporting on key sprint and release metrics will be essential. This includes monitoring team velocity, analyzing burn-down and burn-up charts to visualize progress, and providing accurate release forecasts. These metrics will be crucial for communicating progress to stakeholders and for informing future planning and decision-making.
  • • Operating within a regulated financial services environment demands a rigorous adherence to enterprise banking governance, compliance, and risk controls. You will ensure that all Agile processes and team activities are conducted in alignment with these critical requirements, maintaining the integrity and security of financial systems and data.
  • • For those working on larger initiatives, you will drive cross-team coordination, particularly in scaled Agile environments such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). This involves fostering collaboration, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment across multiple teams working on large, complex programs to achieve overarching program objectives.
  • • Ultimately, your role is to promote an environment of transparency, accountability, and delivery predictability. You will be a champion for Agile values, ensuring that all team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and the impact of their work, leading to consistent, high-quality outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Agile delivery roles, with at least 3 years specifically serving as a dedicated Scrum Master.
  • • Proven, strong background working with clients in the Banking and Financial Services sector, with experience across areas such as Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Payments, Risk, or Compliance.
  • • Deep, practical understanding of the Scrum framework, core Agile principles, and the effective use of delivery metrics.
  • • Demonstrated experience working within regulated environments that have structured governance and compliance frameworks.
  • • Strong stakeholder management capabilities, including excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • • Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Opportunity to work on high-impact programs within a leading financial institution.
  • • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities, including support for certifications.
  • • Collaborative and supportive team environment focused on Agile best practices.
