- • ICF International, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Associate, Wetland Scientist/Field Biologist to support its growing Environment & Planning Division in Texas, contributing to critical environmental consulting projects that help clients navigate complex regulatory challenges.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with wetland delineations, endangered species habitat assessments, and other fieldwork activities; collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of scientists and regulatory specialists; providing technical input on Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and other federal and state regulations; and traveling as needed to remote project sites across Texas and the region.
- • The role is part of a dedicated team of wetland scientists, biologists, ecologists, and regulatory specialists focused on delivering defensible, high-quality findings for energy, transportation, water, and infrastructure projects.
- • The associate will gain hands-on experience in protected species surveys, habitat and water resources assessments, Waters of the U.S. delineations, and field-based data collection, while developing technical expertise, teamwork, and accountability in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Wetland Science, Wildlife, Ecology, Botany, Forest, Environmental Sciences, or a related field; OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of professional experience in field biology, wetland delineations, or related work.
- • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- • Ability to work in the field for extended periods, traverse uneven, irregular, slippery, and steep terrain (up to 5 miles per day), and operate in remote areas with limited mobile reception.
- • Willingness to travel as needed for project work, including potential overnight or extended stays in adverse weather conditions.
- • Strong communication skills and ability to cooperate effectively within a team environment.
