• • This specific role is with MileSplit, North America's leading scholastic track network, and we are looking for a dedicated Seasonal Stats Associate to join our dynamic stats team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the accuracy and integrity of track and field results for a vast network of athletes and events.
• • As a Seasonal Stats Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing athletic results. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously gather, convert, post, and process track and field results into MileSplit’s robust database. This involves ensuring that every data point is accurate and reflects the true performance of the athletes.
• • You will be integral to maintaining the high standards of data integrity that MileSplit is known for. This includes verifying and ensuring the absolute accuracy of all data within our results and rankings systems. Your attention to detail will be paramount in identifying and correcting any discrepancies, ensuring that athletes, coaches, and fans have access to reliable and trustworthy information.
• • A key aspect of this role involves timely and effective communication. You will be responsible for maintaining clear and consistent communication with the Stats Team Lead and other members of the stats team. This collaboration is vital for the smooth operation of the results processing workflow and for addressing any challenges or questions that may arise.
• • This is a seasonal position, specifically running from March through May, aligning with the peak track and field season. We are seeking individuals who can commit to a flexible schedule, dedicating between 10 to 25 hours per week. Availability during weeknights (7 PM - 2 AM EST) and weekends throughout the March-May period is essential to meet the demands of live event processing and data entry.
• • For the right candidate, there is potential for continued seasonal employment in the Fall, supporting our cross country season, offering an extended opportunity to contribute to FloSports.
• • This role requires a strong understanding of cross-country and track & field events. Subject matter expertise in these sports is crucial for accurately interpreting results and understanding the nuances of different disciplines.
• • You will be expected to work efficiently without compromising the quality or accuracy of the data. This role demands a methodical approach to tasks, ensuring that each result is processed correctly and promptly.
• • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is a must. You will be working extensively with these tools for data manipulation, organization, and verification.
• • Comfort working with text editing software is also necessary, as you may need to format or clean data from various sources.
• • A process-driven mindset is highly valued. You should be able to follow established procedures and contribute to refining workflows for optimal efficiency.
• • Strong problem-solving abilities will be essential as you navigate potential data issues and work to find effective solutions.
• • Finally, you must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote work environment. This role requires self-discipline, effective time management, and the ability to collaborate virtually.
