Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Be the guardian of a global hospitality platform that processes billions in bookings annually and serves properties across 150 countries. As Cloudbeds’ Security Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of cybersecurity and hospitality innovation, protecting the data and operations of thousands of hoteliers who rely on our unified platform every single day.
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of security monitoring, detection, and response for a 100 % remote, cloud-native environment. You will design, tune, and maintain SIEM rules, EDR policies, and cloud security posture management (CSPM) alerts that surface threats in real time across AWS, GCP, and SaaS integrations.
- • Lead incident response from triage to post-mortem. When an alert fires at 2 a.m. in São Paulo or Singapore, you are the calm, decisive voice that coordinates engineers, customer success, and legal teams to contain, eradicate, and document every step for continuous improvement.
- • Translate complex vulnerabilities into clear, actionable remediation plans for product squads. You will partner with engineering managers to prioritize fixes in sprint planning, ensuring that security debt never slows our roadmap or jeopardizes the trust of our 40,000+ properties.
- • Build and automate threat-hunting playbooks that proactively search for anomalous behavior across millions of nightly reservation transactions, OTA integrations, and guest-data flows. Your scripts and runbooks will become the gold standard that junior analysts study and senior engineers applaud.
- • Drive compliance initiatives that keep Cloudbeds at the forefront of global standards—PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and emerging regional regulations. You will map controls to code, evidence to dashboards, and auditors to satisfied smiles.
- • Evangelize a security-first culture in a fully distributed team. Through lunch-and-learns, phishing simulations, and Slack micro-trainings, you will turn every employee into a human firewall, reducing risk while boosting morale.
- • Influence product strategy by translating attacker tactics into user stories. Your insights will shape new AI-driven features that predict fraud patterns, secure payment flows, and protect guest privacy—giving hoteliers a competitive edge they never imagined.
- • Present monthly security metrics to the executive team, translating CVE counts, MTTR, and risk scores into narratives that drive budget, headcount, and roadmap decisions. Your data will be the catalyst for the next wave of investment in our security program.
- • Contribute to Cloudbeds’ public security whitepapers and conference talks, positioning us as thought leaders in hospitality cybersecurity. Your voice will reassure prospects, delight customers, and attract top-tier talent who want to solve hard problems at global scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a security operations center (SOC), incident response, or threat-hunting role within a cloud-first environment.
- • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Panther, Datadog, or similar), EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc.), and cloud-native security services (AWS GuardDuty, GCP Security Command Center).
- • Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and secure coding practices; ability to read Python, JavaScript, or Go for basic code-review triage.
- • Experience leading post-incident reviews and translating lessons learned into preventive controls, policy updates, and engineering requirements.
- • Nice-to-have: One or more certifications such as GCIH, GSEC, CISSP, or AWS Security Specialty.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Work 100 % remotely from anywhere in the world with a stipend for home-office setup and monthly internet reimbursement.
- • Competitive salary plus equity in a high-growth company recognized on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500.
- • Annual professional-development budget ($2,500) for certifications, conferences, and courses to keep your skills razor-sharp.
- • Flexible PTO policy, quarterly mental-health days, and a global wellness stipend for gym memberships or mindfulness apps.
