- • The Security Engineer III - Ransomware Governance role is critical to protecting Astreya Partners’ technological assets by establishing and enforcing system and network access controls, with a specialized focus on ransomware governance and recovery operations.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the maturation of the ransomware recovery governance program through hands-on process execution, documentation updates, and technical validation; applying and enforcing recovery policies via configuration checks and compliance reviews; coordinating testing for protected applications including dependency mapping and test result analysis; designing and implementing application onboarding workflows; developing decision authority frameworks; partnering with incident response teams to refine ransomware response plans; and contributing to future-state technology assessments and resilience improvements.
- • The role operates within Astreya Partners’ security team, supporting core security improvements and operations with an emphasis on aligning with NIST CSF, NIST 800‑61, CIS Controls, and industry best practices to strengthen organizational resilience against ransomware threats.
- • The individual will gain deep expertise in ransomware preparedness assessments, risk heat mapping, cyber recovery tracking, executive reporting, and technical training development, positioning them as a key contributor to enterprise-wide cyber resilience and governance initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-year college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- • Experience with system implementation, installation, and disaster preparedness
- • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- • Proven capability to network with senior internal and external personnel in one’s area of expertise
