📋 Description

• The Segment Technology Lead (STL) for Financial Services at Guidehouse serves as the senior-most technology executive within the Financial Services industry segment, acting as a CTO-equivalent responsible for driving technology growth, aligning segment-specific strategy with firmwide capabilities, and ensuring delivery excellence through deep industry expertise and ecosystem leadership.
• This role is pivotal in shaping the technology direction of Guidehouse’s Financial Services practice, representing the company in client and market forums, fostering strategic partnerships, and enabling revenue growth through technology-led solutions while maintaining a healthy, scalable talent practice.
• Day to day, the STL will define and execute the technology strategy in collaboration with Segment and Practice Leads, ensuring alignment with firmwide capability strategies and evolving client needs across the financial services landscape.
• The STL will partner with the Technology Growth Lead to manage all technology opportunities within the segment, oversee pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and capture strategy, and support Technology Account Leads (TALs) and Practice Area Technology Leads (PATLs) in achieving sales and revenue targets, including leading engagements exceeding $7M annually.
• A core responsibility involves maintaining a healthy and scalable technology practice by working with Capability Leads on recruiting, developing, and retaining top technology talent, ensuring balanced talent lifecycle management, succession planning, and providing performance input for TALs as a People Manager for PATLs.
• The STL will foster and manage key relationships with strategic ecosystem partners such as Microsoft, Salesforce, and AWS, co-developing solutions and driving joint go-to-market efforts to maximize innovation and value across practices and accounts.
• As a visible industry thought leader, the STL will elevate Guidehouse’s brand through publications, speaking engagements, and client advisory roles, promoting human-centric transformation, leadership development, and strategic workforce planning within the financial services sector.
• The role offers the opportunity to shape the future of technology in financial services consulting, build influential industry relationships, and drive measurable business impact through innovation, talent development, and strategic execution at a national scale.
• The STL will gain executive-level experience in aligning technology with business outcomes, enhancing executive presence, and contributing to firmwide capability strategies while operating in a high-visibility, remote-first environment with up to 50% travel.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably within consulting or professional services.
• Proven ability to define and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals.
• Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining top technology talent, including succession planning and performance management.
• Demonstrated success in business development, including pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and proposal development.
• Ability to foster and manage strategic partnerships with ecosystem partners to co-develop solutions and drive joint go-to-market efforts.
• Excellent communication and executive presence, with experience representing organizations in client and industry forums.
• Strong thought leadership demonstrated through publications, speaking engagements, and advisory roles.
