đź“‹ Description
- • As a Senior Accessibility Automation Engineer at NICE Ltd., you will be at the forefront of ensuring our digital products deliver an inclusive experience for all users, including those with disabilities. This pivotal role demands a blend of meticulous manual testing and sophisticated automated solutions to uphold the highest accessibility standards, specifically WCAG 2.1 and 2.2.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive accessibility evaluations of web applications. This involves a dual approach: employing rigorous manual testing techniques and leveraging cutting-edge automated tools to identify any barriers to access.
- • You will meticulously evaluate user interfaces against the stringent WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria, ensuring adherence to the four core principles of accessibility: perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. This deep dive into the user experience will uncover areas where improvements are needed to create a truly equitable digital environment.
- • A significant part of your role will involve hands-on manual testing using leading assistive technologies. This includes proficiency with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, as well as utilizing tools like color contrast analyzers, screen magnifiers, and speech recognition software like Dragon. This direct interaction with assistive technologies provides invaluable insights into real-world user challenges.
- • You will be instrumental in developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable accessibility automation frameworks. This requires a strategic approach to building robust and efficient automated test suites using industry-standard tools and libraries, ensuring consistency and speed in our testing processes.
- • A key objective is to seamlessly integrate automated accessibility checks into our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This proactive 'shift-left' approach embeds accessibility early in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preventing issues before they become costly to fix.
- • Your ability to document accessibility findings will be crucial. You will create clear, concise, and actionable defect descriptions, complete with screenshots and conformance levels, within our test management system, such as JIRA. This detailed reporting ensures developers have the information they need to implement effective solutions.
- • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, developers, and other QA teams to foster a shared understanding of accessibility requirements. Your guidance will be essential in ensuring these requirements are integrated throughout the SDLC, promoting a culture of accessibility from conception to deployment.
- • You will be responsible for validating accessibility fixes implemented by development teams and meticulously ensuring that new features do not introduce any accessibility regressions before they are released to our users.
- • This role also involves performing comprehensive accessibility audits for various applications within our Customer Experience (CX) suite, contributing to the overall accessibility posture of our product portfolio.
- • A critical deliverable will be the authoring and maintenance of accurate Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) framework, covering international, EU, and US editions. This documentation is vital for compliance and transparency.
- • You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest advancements in accessibility standards, assistive technology, automated testing tools, and best practices, ensuring NICE remains at the cutting edge of digital inclusion.
- • By joining NICE, you become part of a dynamic, market-disrupting global company. You'll collaborate with exceptional teams in a fast-paced, creative environment where continuous learning and career growth are actively encouraged. As a market leader, every day presents an opportunity to innovate and raise the bar.
