Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and grow a high-value book of construction-focused commercial accounts from WRAP programs to multi-state general contractors, acting as the single point of accountability for retention, expansion, and flawless service delivery.
- • Orchestrate the full policy life-cycle—intake, risk evaluation, marketing, carrier negotiation, binding, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations—while maintaining 98 %+ data accuracy in Applied Epic and carrier portals.
- • Lead a pod of 3-5 account managers and CSRs, assigning daily workflows, reviewing coverage checklists, and mentoring junior staff on construction-specific endorsements (OCIPs, CCIPs, CGL project limits, AI status, waiver of subrogation).
- • Serve as the escalation quarterback for complex coverage disputes, delayed claims, or billing discrepancies; partner with underwriters, TPAs, and legal counsel to craft solutions that protect client assets and IOA’s E&O exposure.
- • Drive renewal strategy 120 days out: run loss analytics, benchmark pricing, identify exposures created by new project types (design-build, heavy civil, renewable energy), and present renewal narratives that secure rate adequacy and carrier capacity.
- • Monitor real-time receivables dashboards; personally contact clients with 45-day past-due balances, negotiate payment plans, and document every touchpoint to reduce DSO and protect commission revenue.
- • Champion continuous improvement: pilot new Epic workflows, beta-test carrier eDocs APIs, and deliver quarterly lunch-and-learns that raise technical acumen across the Florida region.
- • Maintain active suspense queues—certificates, audits, endorsements, and loss-run requests—ensuring zero items age beyond 48 business hours and clients experience “invisible” service.
- • Uphold IOA’s risk management standards by conducting annual client stewardship meetings, delivering safety resources, and documenting coverage gaps that could trigger a claim.
- • Model IOA’s core values (Integrity, Opportunity, Accountability) in every interaction, from coaching teammates to negotiating with underwriters, reinforcing a culture where clients and colleagues feel respected and heard.
- • Partner with producers on new-business pitches: prepare SOV spreadsheets, draft executive summaries, and provide live technical support during finalist presentations that win multi-million-dollar construction accounts.
- • Stay ahead of market trends—admitted vs. non-admitted capacity, carrier appetite shifts, OSHA record-keeping requirements—translating insights into proactive client advisories and internal training bulletins.
- • Contribute to IOA’s community mission by volunteering at local construction-safety charities and mentoring college risk-management interns, strengthening the talent pipeline and brand reputation.
