📋 Description
- • Senior Accountant role focused on tax and business services for Australian clients, requiring strong Australian taxation experience and attention to detail.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing individual tax returns (income/expense analysis, rental property schedules, capital gains tax, sole trader schedules), Business Activity Statements (BAS/IAS), financial statements in Xero for sole traders, companies, and trusts, maintaining fixed asset registers, bookkeeping, payroll processing, corporate compliance (ABN/TFN/GST registrations, ASIC documentation), client setup in Xero Practice Manager, and supporting ad-hoc tax projects.
- • Pear Tree is an accounting firm providing tax and business services to individual and small business clients in Australia, operating with a focus on accuracy, independence, and continuous improvement of internal systems.
- • The role offers opportunity to deepen expertise in Australian tax compliance, gain experience with Xero and related accounting platforms, lead end-to-end client engagements, and contribute to process improvements in a structured practice environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 4+ years of Australian public practice tax experience (essential)
- • Strong background in Business Services and Tax
- • Experience with Xero & Hubdoc, Xero Tax, QuickBooks / MYOB, Xero Practice Manager, and SuiteFiles (highly preferred)
- • Confident using ATO portals
- • Excellent attention to detail
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

- • Salary range: PHP60,000 - PHP90,000/month
- • Standard working hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8:00AM - 5:00PM AEST
- • Opportunity to work independently with minimal supervision
- • Training provided for ASIC matters where necessary
