Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close from soup-to-nuts—posting complex journal entries, reconciling every balance-sheet account, and delivering GAAP-compliant financial statements that leadership trusts within five business days of period-end.
- • Be the in-house authority on ASC 606 revenue recognition for multi-element SaaS subscriptions: review customer contracts, map performance obligations, calculate standalone selling prices, and maintain deferred-revenue waterfalls that tie to the penny.
- • Partner elbow-to-elbow with Revenue Operations to ensure Salesforce opportunities, order forms, and billing schedules feed cleanly into NetSuite; you’ll write validation rules, build saved searches, and design AI-driven exception reports that catch anomalies before they become restatements.
- • Lead the procure-to-pay cycle: set up new vendors in Tipalti or Bill.com, enforce three-way-match controls, code invoices to the right GL and department, and schedule payments that optimize cash without missing early-pay discounts.
- • Administer the T&E program—configure Expensify policies, train employees on receipt compliance, and run weekly audits that keep reimbursements under 48 hours and within budget.
- • Build scalable internal-control documentation and flowcharts; perform quarterly SOX-like walkthroughs, update risk matrices, and present findings to the Controller and external auditors so our next audit is the smoothest one yet.
- • Drive system-improvement sprints: scope requirements for AI-enhanced revenue modules, write UAT scripts, train end-users, and measure post-go-live KPIs such as close-cycle days and manual-journal reduction.
- • Serve as the finance business partner to Customer Success and Sales by preparing cohort-level gross-margin analyses, renewal-rate dashboards, and commission-accrual models that influence pricing strategy and resource allocation.
- • Coordinate the annual financial audit—prepare PBC schedules, field auditor questions, and draft the management-presentation deck that tells Loop’s growth story in numbers.
- • Support ad-hoc strategic projects: model the cash impact of new pricing tiers, stress-test venture-debt covenants, or build a scenario plan for international expansion; your work will directly influence board-level decisions.
- • Champion a culture of continuous improvement—every month you’ll ask “how can we do this faster, cleaner, or smarter?” and then execute on the answer, whether that means scripting a Python reconciliation bot or teaching the team a new Excel power-query trick.
- • Mentor junior staff and interns; create quick-reference guides and lunch-and-learn sessions that level-up the entire finance organization.
- • Stay current on emerging FASB guidance, AI accounting tools, and SaaS KPI benchmarks; distill what matters and socialize it across the company so Loop remains ahead of the curve.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; active CPA license strongly preferred
- • 4–6 years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience in a SaaS or subscription-based company
- • Deep working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition and SOX-level internal controls
- • Hands-on expertise with NetSuite ERP (including ARM or RevPro) and Salesforce; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, power query) required
- • Demonstrated success leading or supporting system implementations, process-automation initiatives, or AI-driven finance projects
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary of $88,320–$132,480 plus meaningful equity in a high-growth startup
- • 100 % employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and 75 % for dependents
- • Flexible PTO, 11 company holidays, sick & safe leave, and 12 weeks of paid parental leave
- • Monthly wellness stipend, home-office set-up allowance, and phone/internet reimbursement
- • 401(k) with company match and annual learning-and-development budget
