- • Own the full month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP
- • Prepare, review, and reconcile journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the general ledger
- • Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections
- • Oversee revenue recognition processes in strict alignment with ASC 606 standards
- • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for internal leadership and cross-functional teams
- • Maintain strict adherence to internal financial controls and company accounting policies
- • Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and propose or implement automation solutions to reduce manual work
- • Collaborate directly with Sales and Operations teams to validate revenue streams, expense allocations, and financial data integrity
- • Ensure all financial documentation is properly maintained and auditable for internal and external reviews
- • Communicate financial findings and variances clearly and proactively in a fully remote environment
- • Partner with leadership to support strategic decision-making through accurate, timely financial insights
- • Continuously improve accounting systems and processes to scale with company growth
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards to ensure ongoing compliance
- • Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as required
- • Work closely with finance and operations to align financial reporting with operational KPIs and business objectives
- • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms to manage transactions and reporting
- • Leverage advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills to analyze financial data, build models, and generate custom reports
- • Act as a key point of contact for financial inquiries from non-finance departments
- • Ensure all financial transactions are properly classified, documented, and recorded in accordance with corporate policies
- • Contribute to the development of scalable financial processes as the company transitions from startup to high-growth phase
- • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial visibility and operational efficiency
- • Stay current with industry best practices in accounting and financial control
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- • Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition standards
- • Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication
