- • Reporting directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of accounting functions essential for a rapidly growing, fully remote, global organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our financial processes, directly supporting Kraken's mission.
- • A core part of your role will involve the meticulous preparation of month-end general accruals. This will require close collaboration with our Accounts Payable (AP) team, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, and Treasury team to ensure the accuracy of monthly accruals and to drive seamless integration of accrual-related systems. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining the integrity of our financial data.
- • You will execute comprehensive month-end close processes. This includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of accurate journal entries, performing thorough balance sheet account reconciliations, and meticulously reconciling inter-company activities. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of these tasks is critical for reliable financial reporting.
- • The role also involves performing detailed commission accrual and reconciliation processes. You will foster strong collaborative relationships with business group liaisons to guarantee that commission reconciliations are precise and reflect the underlying business activities accurately.
- • You will conduct in-depth financial statement flux analysis at the entity level for all our subsidiary companies. This involves drafting comprehensive trend analysis reports and variance analysis reports, providing key insights into financial performance and identifying significant shifts.
- • A significant responsibility will be the preparation of audit schedules and providing ad hoc support for audit requests. You will work closely with our FXN (Financial Exchange Network) team to drive system integrations and optimizations, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial systems.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum Diploma Degree in Accounting with at least 4 years of relevant working experience.
- • Preferably some years of audit experience.
- • Background in accounting for financial services, fintech, banking, or an exchange strongly preferred.
- • Experienced with accounting for complex business entities, especially a parent organization with multiple subsidiaries.
- • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, SUMIF.
- • Collaborative, innovative, flexible, and adept at building relationships across the organization.
- • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
- • Google and Microsoft suite proficiency required.
