- • Senior Accountant role at CloudZero, Inc. focused on managing financial processes including revenue accounting, equity, technical accounting research, and owning the external audit process.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing revenue contracts in Campfire, applying ASC 606 standards, recording revenue entries, managing stock-based compensation, maintaining cap tables, researching GAAP/ASC standards, drafting technical memos, coordinating external audits with PBC lists, supporting internal controls, identifying workflow improvements, and providing finance-oriented feedback to Product and GTM teams as a CloudZero super-user.
- • Part of the finance team reporting directly to Finance leadership, collaborating closely with an accounting associate; CloudZero serves finance leaders as primary buyers, emphasizing accuracy, process improvement, and proactive problem-solving in a growing SaaS environment.
- • Opportunity to deepen expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity accounting, technical accounting memos, audit management, and process scalability while gaining exposure to modern finance tech stacks (Campfire, Ramp) and influencing product development through finance insights.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- • 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
- • Self-starter with strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on various responsibilities
- • Comfortable learning and working in new technology platforms (Campfire, Ramp, etc.)
- • Experience with revenue accounting, technical accounting, or audit a plus
- • CPA preferred
- • Based in Boston and willing to commute to the office at least 2x per week preferred
