- • Senior Accountant role in Corporate Financial Reporting at Kemper Corporation, a leading specialized insurer, supporting SEC, GAAP, and statutory accounting for a multi-billion-dollar publicly traded company
- • Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements, advise operational segments on accounting treatment, work with internal and external auditors, present analytical schedules and variance analyses, lead process improvement projects, and assist with state filing requirements

🎯 Requirements
- • BA/BS degree in Accounting
- • 3+ years of experience in financial reporting; insurance or financial services experience preferred
- • Familiarity with statutory accounting principles, US GAAP, and SEC filing requirements
- • Proficiency in MS Office, especially intermediate to advanced Excel
- • Experience navigating large ERP environments; Workday Financial Management and Workiva experience a plus
- • Strong communication skills to interact with various management levels
