- • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new core solutions in National network and benefits for Cigna Healthcare’s commercial market segment.
- • Create and present strategy recommendations and roadmaps for network and alternative plan design concepts using competitive, market, pricing, and underwriting insights.
- • Support the creation and maintenance of medical benefit offerings and associated plan language to align with enterprise affordability and strategic goals.
- • Serve as a product subject matter expert (SME) on complex projects, understanding granular details while escalating risks and barriers to leadership for timely resolution.
- • Build and maintain effective partnerships with matrixed teams including Medical, Clinical, Pricing, Legal, Technology, and Compliance to identify product enhancements and new solution opportunities.
- • Communicate strategies, developments, and risks clearly across all organizational levels, tailoring messaging for diverse internal and external audiences.
- • Deliver swift and decisive resolutions to client and customer issues by identifying root causes and implementing actionable solutions.
- • Partner with Go-To-Market and Marketing teams to develop sales communications, sell-against guidance, and business-to-business/customer materials that position medical benefit strategies effectively.
- • Design and execute market research engagements to inform future benefit strategy direction and validate product assumptions.
- • Determine optimal benefit offerings that comply with state and federal legislation while maintaining competitiveness and affordability.
- • Manage specific benefits, products, and initiatives as assigned, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- • Apply financial acumen to build business cases and evaluate the economic impact of product decisions.
- • Utilize strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills to analyze data, create presentations, and document product requirements and outcomes.
- • Drive data analysis initiatives to interpret complex datasets, generate proof points, and support external marketing claims.
- • Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, managing multiple deliverables with shifting priorities while maintaining high organizational standards.
- • Apply Agile and portfolio management methodologies to coordinate product delivery and align with enterprise-wide development processes.
- • Independently drive solutions to completion through collaboration with matrix partners and under guidance from leadership.
- • Demonstrate strategic and creative thinking by translating high-level strategies into actionable requirements and implementation plans.
- • Maintain curiosity and optimism, actively learning from teammates and partners while contributing knowledge to the team.
- • Experience working with or managing outside vendors is preferred to support product development and implementation efforts.
- • Possess a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 4+ years in medical benefits, product management, or medical account management.
- • Demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas: Underwriting/Sales, account management/case implementation, Medical Management, Clinical, or Legal and Compliance.
