📋 Description

• • As a Senior AI & Cloud Operations Engineer at Datatonic Limited, you will be a foundational engineer redefining how Data and AI platforms are operated—shifting from reactive maintenance to proactive, AI-driven Continuous Engineering. You will design and evolve the intelligent systems that monitor, optimize, and autonomously improve client environments on Google Cloud, directly impacting the reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of some of the world’s most advanced AI platforms.
• • Your day-to-day work will involve technical ownership of backend services and automation layers that power Datatonic’s managed platforms, including designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure that supports AI-augmented operations. You will build and deploy AI agents and evaluation frameworks to automate anomaly detection, cost optimization, and model health checks, reducing manual toil and increasing system resilience.
• • You will lead "Minor Feature" development initiatives—implementing high-impact architectural improvements and platform evolutions that keep client environments modern, secure, and aligned with best practices in FinOps, MLOps, and AIOps (collectively referred to as "XOps").
• • Acting as a strategic advisor, you will collaborate closely with solution architects and client stakeholders to anticipate "Day 2" risks—such as scaling bottlenecks, cost overruns, or model drift—and provide preemptive technical solutions before they affect business outcomes.
• • You will embody engineering excellence by applying the 80/20 rule: dedicating focused time to internal R&D, experimenting with emerging tools, and building reusable automation tools that eliminate repetitive tasks and elevate team productivity.
