- • Join Sword Health, a pioneering force in revolutionizing healthcare through its AI Care platform, as a Senior AI Engineer. We are on a mission to shift healthcare from human-first to AI-first, making world-class care accessible globally while dramatically reducing costs for payers, employers, and national health systems. Sword Health has already transformed pain care with AI at its core and expanded into women's health, movement health, and mental health, impacting over 700,000 members across three continents. With 10 million AI sessions completed since 2020, we've helped our 1,000+ enterprise clients avoid over $1 billion in unnecessary healthcare costs. Our innovation is backed by 42 clinical studies and over 44 patents, supported by leading investors like Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst, and Founders Fund.
- • As a Senior AI Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Internal AI Solutions Team, a dynamic group focused on leveraging Generative AI to transform the company’s internal operations. This team is at the forefront of enhancing how we work across all departments, from Finance and Commercial to Talent Acquisition and beyond. Your role will be crucial in developing and deploying AI-powered tools and techniques that empower these teams to expand their reach, amplify their impact, and ultimately drive Sword Health's overall success.
- • This is an opportunity to work within a small, agile team that embodies the spirit of an early-stage startup. We thrive on highly generalist roles, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach. You will work in close partnership with key stakeholders across various Sword Health verticals, gaining a deep understanding of their unique processes and identifying opportunities where AI can unlock new levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of AI solution development, from ideation and research to implementation and ongoing optimization. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying sophisticated AI models and applications tailored to specific business needs. This includes, but is not limited to, developing natural language processing (NLP) solutions for document analysis and summarization, creating intelligent automation workflows, and exploring the application of large language models (LLMs) for enhanced internal communication and knowledge management.
- • You will play a key role in evaluating and integrating cutting-edge AI technologies, staying abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI. This involves conducting rigorous research, prototyping new solutions, and making informed recommendations on technology adoption. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that Sword Health remains at the cutting edge of AI innovation.
- • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your role. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts to translate complex business requirements into actionable AI strategies. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of robust MLOps practices, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of our AI solutions. This includes setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, as well as implementing CI/CD pipelines for AI model deployment and management.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and frameworks, with a proven track record of successfully delivering AI-powered products or solutions. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services is highly desirable. You should be comfortable working with large datasets, performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- • This role offers a unique chance to make a tangible impact on a rapidly growing company that is fundamentally changing the healthcare landscape. You will be empowered to take ownership of projects, drive innovation, and contribute to the strategic direction of AI within Sword Health. If you are a passionate and experienced AI engineer looking to apply your skills to meaningful challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
