- • As a Senior AI Software Engineer on Lyft’s Risk Tech team, you will help define and build a leading claims management system that reduces accident frequency, saves lives, and manages costs to enhance the safety and affordability of rides.
- • Day to day, you will drive the technical roadmap for claims management systems, provide architectural leadership, collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Claim Operations teams, deliver scalable and reliable code, lead code and design reviews, and support production systems through on-call responsibilities and incident triaging.
- • You will join a passionate engineering organization focused on leveraging AI and automation to solve complex workflows in insurance claims, working alongside cross-functional teams to build a unified risk platform that structures data for data-driven decisions and improves operational efficiency at scale.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in scalable distributed systems, AI-driven automation, and enterprise-grade platform development while influencing Lyft’s long-term technical strategy in risk and insurance technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- • 6+ years of professional experience building scalable distributed systems with high availability, observability, and reliability
- • Proficiency in Python, with experience in data processing frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, and Airflow, and familiarity with cloud provisioning environments
- • Proven ability to drive AI adoption or automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency in complex workflows
- • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, data science, product, and claims operations teams
