- • As a Software Engineer at Owkin Inc., you will build the world-leading Agentic AI product for biomedical researchers by combining robust engineering practices with cutting-edge AI technologies, working on a real-time system that integrates LLMs, tool-calling, and interactive UI elements to enable seamless engagement with complex biomedical data.
- • You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of product managers, designers, software engineers, machine learning engineers, and biomedical scientists to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable AI systems while driving technical decisions and providing context-aware solutions for AI systems in biological research.
- • Owkin is an AI company on a mission to solve the complexity of biology by building the first Biology Super Intelligence (BASI) through powerful biological large language models, multimodal patient data, and agentic software, with its AI copilot Owkin K and LLM Owkin Zero used by researchers, clinicians, and drug developers to accelerate diagnostics and therapies.
- • In this role, you will lead core stack component development focusing on sustainability, scalability, security, reliability, and performance, while fostering team growth through mentoring, code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing, gaining expertise in integrating LLMs, optimizing analytical workflows, and deploying AI agents within a global data platform infrastructure.

- • Strong collaborative skills with an open, pragmatic mindset in multidisciplinary environments
- • Deep understanding of system architecture, infrastructure design, and building resilient distributed systems including complex analytical workflows
- • Extensive experience with production environments: continuous deployment, high availability, observability, and security
- • Proficiency with Python, Kubernetes, and AWS
- • Fluent English, both written and spoken
- • Curiosity and ideally hands-on experience with AI systems — from integrating LLMs to evaluating their performance in real-world workflows
