• • As a Senior Analyst specializing in IT Applications with a focus on Oracle EBS at Ciena Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining our critical enterprise resource planning systems. • • Your primary responsibilities will involve driving improvements and resolving bugs within Oracle Applications, including interfaces, custom reporting, forms, and bespoke applications. You will be instrumental in the design and implementation of robust, scalable solutions specifically for logistics and distribution processes, leveraging Oracle Cloud technologies such as Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), Global Trade Management (GTM), Order Management, Warehouse Management, and Inventory capabilities.
• • A key aspect of this role is identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement within these critical business areas. You will collaborate extensively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. This includes Supply Chain and Logistics Business Users, external implementation partners, Application Management Services (AMS) providers, the Product team, Ciena's PMO Teams, and various internal IT departments. Your ability to effectively manage these relationships will be crucial in driving projects forward within the logistics and distribution domain.
• • You will act as a bridge between the business needs and technical solutions, working closely with multi-location teams to meticulously plan activities and ensure project deadlines are met. This involves translating complex business requirements into actionable technical plans and overseeing their execution.
• • Providing essential support for OTM, GTM, Order Management, inventory configurations, and other peripheral logistics management systems will be a core function. This includes troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, debugging, and delivering timely, robust fixes, particularly for urgent shipping-related problems.
• • You will also be involved in application development within Oracle EBS modules, with a strong emphasis on Supply Chain and Finance modules. This requires a deep understanding of how these modules integrate and function within the broader Oracle ecosystem.
• • As needed, you will be responsible for Oracle Service Request (SR) documentation, ensuring all necessary information is accurately captured and communicated to Oracle support for issue resolution.
• • A significant part of your role will be to engage with business and service owners to thoroughly capture and document their requirements, ensuring that proposed solutions align perfectly with business objectives.
• • While experience with Agile methodologies and Jira is preferred, you will be expected to adapt to and utilize these tools for efficient project management and collaboration.
• • You will be tasked with converting detailed business requirements into comprehensive technical design documents, subsequently developing and implementing these solutions to meet defined specifications.
• • Your involvement will span the entire lifecycle of improvement efforts, from initial conception and design through to deployment and post-implementation support.
• • Delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner to ensure the satisfaction of internal customers is paramount. This requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.
• • Participating in peer code and design reviews is essential to uphold the quality and integrity of the solutions delivered, fostering a culture of shared learning and best practices.
