📋 Description

• Senior Android Engineer at Aspora, Inc. responsible for building the mobile experience that millions of NRI users trust with their money, turning product concepts into production-ready features in a regulated fintech environment.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include building and shipping Kotlin-first features across the full Android stack, owning app architecture by defining and enforcing MVVM/MVI patterns and Clean Architecture with Hilt, driving performance through Baseline Profiles and structured concurrency, delivering comprehensive test coverage using JUnit, MockK, Turbine, and Roborazzi, and shaping offline-first data strategy with Room schemas and Coroutine-based concurrency.
• Aspora is a borderless financial operating system built for people on the move, backed by top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital and Y Combinator, with a team of 150+ across India, the UK, UAE, EU, and the US, operating with extreme ownership, radical candor, and a focus on customer impact in global banking.
• In this role, you will gain deep exposure to regulated fintech systems, influence technical direction by working directly with founding engineers and product leaders, own your roadmap by defining engineering approaches, and see your architecture decisions scale to production for millions of NRIs managing money globally.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years in native Android development, ideally in fintech, payments, or consumer startup environments where reliability and quality are essential
• Fluent in Kotlin including Coroutines, Flow, Jetpack Compose, and the full Jetpack ecosystem as core competencies
• Strong command of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and Repository pattern as default practices
• Proficiency in REST via Retrofit and OkHttp, offline-first storage, real-time polling, and push notifications using FCM
• High ownership mindset — treating production issues as personal responsibility regardless of time or on-call schedule
• Bias for execution: shipping, learning, and iterating quickly without waiting for perfect specifications
• Strong advantage: Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM) experience; familiarity with Roborazzi for screenshot testing is a plus
