• • As a Senior Android Engineer specializing in UI Components at Okta, you will be at the forefront of shaping the developer experience for Okta's Customer Identity Cloud (CIC), powered by Auth0 technology. Your primary mission will be to build and maintain robust, intuitive, and high-quality UI components, SDKs, and libraries that empower developers worldwide to seamlessly integrate Okta's identity solutions into their applications.
• • You possess a deep understanding of what developers need, how to communicate effectively with them, and how to anticipate their challenges and delights. This empathy will drive your work in enhancing our entire onboarding process, refining our SDKs, optimizing Quick Starts, and improving our comprehensive documentation.
• • You will be instrumental in crafting and evolving our open-source UI Components SDKs, ensuring they are cutting-edge, well-documented, and easy to adopt. This involves not only writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code but also actively contributing to the open-source community.
• • A significant part of your role will involve acting as the internal and external steward for the technologies you are passionate about. This means becoming the go-to expert within Okta and in the broader developer community, providing invaluable domain knowledge, conducting technical reviews, and advocating for best practices.
• • You will collaborate closely within a cross-functional team, working alongside developer evangelists, onboarding specialists, growth hackers, dashboard developers, community managers, tooling engineers, and other SDK teams. This collaborative environment is crucial for delivering an unparalleled developer experience across all facets of our technology.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to directly engaging with the developer community, championing Auth0, and fostering a positive and supportive ecosystem. This may involve participating in forums, responding to queries, and gathering feedback to inform product development.
• • You will be responsible for sharing your technical expertise through various channels, including presenting at conferences, speaking at tech events, and potentially authoring blog posts or articles that showcase your insights and Okta's innovative solutions.
• • A key aspect of your role will be troubleshooting and resolving complex issues within our libraries and SDKs, ensuring the stability and reliability of the tools developers depend on.
• • You will be building UI Components from the ground up using modern Android development practices, including Jetpack Compose and XML views, ensuring a high level of polish and performance.
• • You will be responsible for writing, curating, and editing a wide range of developer resources, including tutorials, code examples, comprehensive guides, and official documentation, making it easier for developers to get started and succeed with Okta.
• • You will directly shape and develop our open-source UI Components SDKs, contributing to their architecture, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
• • You will champion Auth0 by actively engaging with the developer community, answering questions, and providing support.
• • You will serve as the primary technical expert, both internally and externally, offering deep domain knowledge and conducting thorough technical reviews for Auth0's offerings in your area of expertise.
• • You will have opportunities to share your technical expertise at conferences and other industry events, representing Okta and contributing to the broader tech community.
• • You will be tasked with troubleshooting and fixing issues related to our libraries, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.
• • This role offers a hybrid work mode, requiring 2-3 days onsite per week in our Bengaluru office, with flexible working hours to accommodate work-life balance. Initial onboarding will require in-person attendance at our Bengaluru office during the first week.
