📋 Description

• Senior Applied AI Researcher role focused on solving open research problems across Articul8 AI's domain-specific GenAI platform, with ownership of research projects from problem formulation through production deployment.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include owning end-to-end research programs using massively parallel agentic AI, driving breakthroughs in domain-specific model quality via RL-based optimization, designing multimodal systems across text, images, tables, and technical documents, architecting agentic data and training infrastructure, mentoring junior researchers, compressing research-to-production cycles via agentic CI/CD, building knowledge systems for team-wide leverage, and modeling augmented researcher workflows to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Articul8 AI was founded on the belief that GenAI should serve the enterprise, combining domain-specific models, autonomous agentic reasoning (ModelMesh™), reliable model evaluation (LLM-IQ™), and multimodal understanding to serve regulated industries like energy, semiconductor, finance, aerospace, and supply chain, trusted by Fortune 500 enterprises.
• The role offers the opportunity to achieve high-impact research outcomes by publishing at top-tier venues, contributing to internal knowledge infrastructure, mentoring others in the agentic paradigm, and multiplying team-wide impact through force-multiplying knowledge systems and scalable research workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• 5+ years as an AI/ML researcher with shipped research artifacts in production, including 2+ years building LLM-based systems
• Deep expertise in at least one of: domain-specific model adaptation, multimodal learning, reinforcement learning from human feedback, knowledge-grounded generation, or retrieval-augmented systems, with published or shipped production work in that area
• Hands-on experience with distributed training at scale (DeepSpeed, FSDP, Megatron-LM, or equivalent), understanding data vs. model parallelism
• Production-grade Python skills with clean abstractions and tested code that others can depend on
