đź“‹ Description
- • Lead and execute full-cycle governmental audits from planning through reporting, ensuring strict compliance with Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), Uniform Guidance, and OMB requirements. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing expectations, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.
- • Own multiple concurrent engagements across cities, counties, school districts, utilities, and special-purpose governmental entities. Balance shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and evolving client needs without compromising accuracy or client service. Your ability to juggle competing demands will directly influence client satisfaction and firm reputation.
- • Prepare and review complex financial statements, footnote disclosures, management letters, and Single Audit packages. Translate technical accounting and compliance findings into clear, actionable recommendations that help public-sector leaders strengthen internal controls, improve stewardship of public funds, and achieve clean audit opinions.
- • Coach, mentor, and quality-review the work of staff and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Conduct on-the-job training sessions, provide real-time feedback, and create development plans that accelerate the growth of junior team members while ensuring engagements stay on budget and on schedule.
- • Leverage advanced data-analytics tools and Microsoft Office suite to streamline testing procedures, identify anomalies, and present insights that drive smarter decision-making for clients. Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that raise the bar for audit efficiency and effectiveness.
- • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams—tax, advisory, and IT specialists—to deliver holistic solutions. Participate in client meetings, board presentations, and exit conferences, articulating audit results with confidence and diplomacy to elected officials, finance directors, and citizen oversight committees.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive public-sector information. Uphold the firm’s risk-management protocols, independence rules, and ethical standards, ensuring every action reinforces public trust in both the firm and the clients we serve.
- • Contribute to practice growth by identifying additional service opportunities, assisting with proposals, and representing the firm at industry conferences and professional associations. Your thought leadership and networking efforts will help expand our footprint across Arizona’s governmental market.
- • Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model: work remotely when engagements allow, and travel to client sites in Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale, Glendale, Gilbert, Tempe, and surrounding jurisdictions when fieldwork or face-to-face collaboration is required. You will manage your own calendar to optimize productivity and work-life balance while staying aligned with Mountain Standard Time business hours.
- • Thrive in a culture that celebrates wins, encourages open communication, and invests in your professional development. From monthly team lunches to quarterly off-site retreats, you’ll experience a workplace where camaraderie is genuine, achievements are recognized, and every voice matters.
