📋 Description
- • Senior Backend Engineer at Remote Technologies Inc., a fully remote company building a global HR platform to help businesses recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly.
- • You will lead development of major team-scoped projects, build tools, APIs, and integrations using Elixir, Phoenix, Postgres, and AWS, while mentoring engineers and improving agentic workflows end-to-end.
- • Join a cross-functional engineering team working asynchronously across 6 continents, with a culture focused on innovation, automation, and employee growth.
- • Gain deep expertise in scalable backend systems, functional programming, CI/CD, and AI-integrated workflows while contributing to a product with global impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows and improving them through iteration.
- • Ability to think in systems: define specs clearly, break down plans, instrument verification, and close the loop on quality.
- • Experience with Postgres (or similar) and CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
- • Experience with Functional Programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, Haskell, etc. (nice to have)
- • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, React/Vue/Angular (nice to have)
