- • Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir) role focused on building tools, APIs, and integrations for Remote’s HR and Payroll products, enabling global employment compliance and supporting businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading major team-scoped projects, participating in cross-team initiatives, providing technical feedback on product improvements, maintaining domain understanding, contributing to shared codebase, debugging technical and business issues, mentoring engineers, and implementing agentic workflows with verification loops for secure, reliable, and scalable outcomes.

🎯 Requirements
- • Strong engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows (or comparable systems) and improving them through iteration.
- • Ability to think in systems: define specs clearly, break down plans, instrument verification, and close the loop on quality.
- • Experience with Postgres (or similar) and CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar).
- • Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Nextjs, and React/Vue/Angular.
