📋 Description

• Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) role at Voodoo SAS, working on Paper.io2 to transform a successful casual game into a deeper, more competitive live game with meaningful progression and long-term player engagement.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and building scalable backend systems, developing APIs, integrating with client-side features, and collaborating with game designers and client developers from concept to delivery and iteration.
• Join Voodoo’s Live games team within the Gaming division, a hybrid-casual and mid-core expert team supporting global studios and live operations for enduring games with over 7 billion downloads and $20m+ annual revenue from hybrid titles.
• Opportunity to work on high-impact systems that support millions of daily active users, solve complex scalability and performance challenges, and grow technical expertise in live operations, game backend architecture, and Go-based infrastructure in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Extreme fluency in Golang
• Mastery of SQL and NoSQL
• Background in high-scale systems
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex problems related to scalability, performance, and integration
