- • Design and implement production-grade integrations with external platforms including CRMs, CDPs, measurement vendors, and data partners, owning projects end-to-end from scoping to production deployment
- • Own the architecture and evolution of Vibe’s public API, building scalable endpoints for account, advertiser, and campaign management to enable external partners to build on Vibe’s platform
- • Develop comprehensive documentation, monitoring systems, and developer tooling to ensure a first-class developer experience for external users of Vibe’s API
- • Contribute to the MCP gateway and authentication layers that securely expose Vibe’s capabilities to third-party developers
- • Identify architectural weaknesses in existing data pipelines and lead rebuilding efforts to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across 120M+ households
- • Set and elevate the standard for code quality on the Integrations team through rigorous code reviews that raise the bar for the entire team
- • Actively leverage AI-augmented development tools to accelerate development cycles and improve output quality across the team
- • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code reviews, and direct feedback to foster technical growth and alignment with team norms
- • Partner with the Engineering Manager to establish engineering practices as the team scales across two continents and contribute to hiring calibration decisions
- • Collaborate directly with external partner engineering teams to define, validate, and evolve data contracts and integration specifications
- • Drive the development of a first-class Developer Platform that enables marquee partners like Clay to build integrations on top of Vibe’s infrastructure
- • Ensure all integrations and APIs are built with high ownership, accountability, and a focus on measurable business outcomes tied to ad spend ROI and sales lift
- • Maintain and improve infrastructure using AWS and Terraform, making architectural decisions grounded in real-world scale and reliability needs
- • Apply low-level programming understanding (e.g., C/C++) to optimize performance-critical components beneath high-level abstractions
- • Participate in quarterly in-person Tech Syncs with Engineering and Product teams worldwide to align on platform direction and technical priorities
🎯 Requirements
- • Typically 6+ years shipping production backend systems: APIs, data pipelines, and distributed services at scale
- • Deep hands-on proficiency in TypeScript and Python; have owned complex systems in both, not just contributed to them
- • Strong infrastructure fundamentals: AWS, Terraform, and the judgment to make architectural decisions, not just implement them
- • Exposure to low-level programming concepts; C or C++ background is a plus
- • A high-ownership background: startups, scale-ups, or environments where you couldn’t hand hard problems to someone else
- • A track record of raising the quality of the engineers around you, not just your own output
