📋 Description

• Senior Backend Engineer role at NIRA, a consumer credit platform for Middle India, targeting 200 million underserved people and processing 15,000+ loan applications daily, integrated with US-based Tilt.
• Work closely with the local NIRA Engineering team and partner with the broader APAC Engineering team to scale the platform, expand support for multiple financial products, drive iterations on credit policy, and improve credit decision systems.
• Join a hybrid team based in Bangalore (2-3 days/week) at Tilth, where you’ll shape infrastructure and product roadmap strategy with direct impact on technical projects and significant career growth potential.
• Collaborate across product, credit/finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams to deliver scalable, reliable backend solutions using Java and AWS-native tools.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience using Java (ideally .NET too)
• Demonstrated experience working in AWS-native environments, using tools like DynamoDB, Athena and Lambda
• Experience with scaled technical solutions, having worked on projects to increase platform scalability
• Clear communicator with ability to articulate technical solutions and collaborate globally
• Product Engineer mentality — owning solutions from start to finish
