- • Senior Backend Engineer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable microservices using Go and Python, critical to RapidFort’s infrastructure and product reliability.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building and deploying RESTful APIs, collaborating with product and frontend teams on API specifications, ensuring efficient deployment and monitoring in Kubernetes environments, participating in code reviews and design discussions, troubleshooting production issues, and driving improvements in development processes and tooling.

- • The role offers deep technical growth in microservices architecture, system design tradeoffs (latency, throughput, reliability), observability (metrics, tracing, logging), and ownership of production services from design to incident resolution, with opportunities to influence platform maturity and best practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of professional backend software development experience with significant focus on building and operating microservices in production
- • Expert-level proficiency in Go (Golang) for building robust, high-concurrency microservices and advanced expertise in Python with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- • Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying RESTful APIs and working with large-scale, distributed systems
- • Advanced skills in Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration, including debugging containers and managing deployments
- • Strong observability expertise with structured logging, correlation IDs, metrics, tracing, and logs as a system; Datadog experience required or equivalent (Prometheus/Grafana + OpenTelemetry + ELK)
- • Solid foundation in Linux fundamentals (ps/top/htop, journalctl, systemctl, netstat/ss, lsof, curl, grep/sed/awk, strace) and networking basics (DNS, TLS, ports, timeouts)
