- • Lead the design and development of high-quality, user-friendly analytic visualizations, dashboards, and reports for business partners, transforming complex data into easily understandable and actionable insights.
- • Collaborate closely with business areas to conduct interactive and iterative user design sessions, rapidly prototyping solutions to meet evolving needs and facilitate idea generation.
- • Partner with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to identify, create, and influence optimal solution designs, ensuring the delivery of actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- • Mentor and provide knowledge transfer to junior team members, guiding them on development best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the analytics team.
- • Design and architect high-performance data visualization solutions for large-scope projects, ensuring they are maintainable, scalable, and deliver significant analytic value as business needs dictate.
- • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions, bringing together diverse stakeholders to arrive at optimal solutions that address all needs and ensure successful project delivery.
- • Take ownership of application administration for analytic tool server environments, such as Power BI, ensuring smooth operation and efficient utilization of these critical platforms.
- • Develop and deploy solutions created in various data visualization and reporting tools, adhering to established best practices for enterprise-wide adoption and consistent application.
- • Proactively contribute to the development of best practices for enterprise adoption of analytics tools and methodologies, driving standardization and efficiency across the organization.
- • Provide regular team status updates on various projects, proactively escalating issues as needed and communicating potential risks to the development schedule and project timelines.
- • Represent the Viz Team's interests effectively in cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contributing to overall project success.
- • Create, maintain, and enforce data visualization governance and development standards, continuously and proactively improving the quality of solution development and the efficiency of processes across the enterprise.
- • Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for data visualization and reporting solutions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- • Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in existing dashboards and reports, implementing enhancements to maximize their impact.
- • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data visualization and business intelligence, evaluating their potential application to enhance Blue Cross NC's analytical capabilities.
- • Contribute to the strategic roadmap for business intelligence and analytics at Blue Cross NC, identifying opportunities to leverage data for competitive advantage and improved member outcomes.
- • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within all developed visualizations and reports, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
- • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users on how to effectively utilize dashboards and reports, empowering them to derive insights independently.
- • Act as a subject matter expert for data visualization tools and techniques, providing guidance and support to colleagues across the organization.
- • Drive innovation in data storytelling, creating compelling narratives that communicate complex findings in a clear, concise, and impactful manner to diverse audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership.
