📋 Description

• Senior Business Analyst role focused on delivering high-impact public service programmes through expert requirements gathering, process analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to translate complex government contract needs into actionable technical solutions that drive real-world outcomes.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include leading requirements workshops and stakeholder sessions to elicit and validate business needs; mapping and analysing current processes using BPMN and similar techniques to identify improvement opportunities; collaborating with IT, operations, and project teams to design fit-for-purpose solutions and develop supporting documentation; managing relationships across internal departments, suppliers, and government clients to ensure alignment and progress; contributing to project artefacts such as resource plans and change logs; and mentoring junior Business Analysts to strengthen team capability.
• Capita is a leading outsourcer supporting public and private sector clients in delivering complex business processes more efficiently, with a strong focus on improving citizen experiences and operational effectiveness across government-funded initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within public services, including direct involvement in government contracts or government-funded programmes
• Proven ability to deliver successful projects with a track record in requirements gathering, analysis, and process improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to engage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
• Solid understanding of business process modelling, including hands-on experience with BPMN and similar techniques
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently, supported by strong organisational and time-management skills
• Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and process modelling software
