- • Lead Harvey’s end-to-end compliance programs, ensuring the platform meets the highest standards of security and trust for enterprise customers in regulated markets.
- • Build the strategic roadmap for compliance investments, including ROI analysis, certification sequencing, and market expansion priorities, and present recommendations directly to leadership.
- • Conduct comprehensive gap assessments and compliance readiness evaluations across industry frameworks to establish maturity baselines and prioritize remediation actions.
- • Select, onboard, and manage third-party assessors and compliance advisors, holding them accountable to timelines and escalating risks proactively.
- • Drive audit readiness by coordinating evidence collection, continuous monitoring, and documentation management with Engineering, Product Security, and Legal teams.
- • Serve as the authoritative internal voice during customer security reviews, RFP responses, and due diligence processes, providing accurate and consistent compliance posture details.
- • Recruit, lead, and develop a small, high-impact compliance team, setting clear direction, fostering growth, and scaling operations as Harvey expands globally.
- • Establish and maintain scalable compliance program operations that align with Harvey’s values of decisiveness, simplicity, and relentless execution.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Legal, Sales, and external government partners to embed compliance into product development and customer workflows without impeding velocity.
- • Leverage AI tools to enhance compliance program efficiency, including automating evidence collection, streamlining gap analysis, and enabling continuous monitoring.
- • Ensure compliance initiatives directly support Harvey’s growth into new regulated markets by aligning certifications with customer demand and regulatory requirements.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving global compliance standards and adapt Harvey’s programs accordingly to sustain trust and market competitiveness.
- • Own the lifecycle of key certifications including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and other frameworks critical to Harvey’s enterprise customer base.
- • Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable, simplified controls that Engineering and Product teams can implement efficiently.
- • Champion a culture of compliance as a business enabler, not a bottleneck, by embedding it into Harvey’s fast-paced, mission-driven operating model.
- • Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate, current, and audit-ready at all times, reducing customer friction and accelerating sales cycles.
- • Act as the primary liaison between Harvey and external auditors, regulators, and compliance advisory firms, managing relationships and outcomes.
- • Monitor compliance program performance metrics and report progress to executive leadership with clarity and data-driven insights.
- • Maintain strict adherence to Harvey’s core values: Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job’s Not Finished, ensuring compliance initiatives are executed with urgency and precision.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years in information security or compliance, with 5+ years leading compliance programs for commercial SaaS or PaaS
- • Deep command of the compliance lifecycle — scoping, gap analysis, control documentation, assessment coordination, and continuous monitoring
- • Proven cross-functional influence at the senior level; able to drive compliance outcomes across Engineering, Product, Legal, and Sales without slowing the business
- • Track record selecting and managing third-party assessors and compliance advisory firms
- • Experience building and leading small teams in fast-paced environments, with a bias for hiring exceptional people and creating clarity from ambiguity
- • 1–2+ years using AI tools to improve program efficiency (evidence automation, gap analysis, continuous monitoring)
