- • The Senior Contracts Manager at Ameresco, Inc. leads all phases of contracting for utility-scale solar and energy solutions projects, playing a critical role in driving cost savings, maximizing spend value, and supporting the company’s mission to decarbonize and enhance resilience in the global energy transition.
- • Day to day, the role involves managing RFP creation and submission with cross-functional teams, analyzing bid documents for risks and pricing, leading internal and external bid review meetings, directing strategic contract negotiations, conducting final contract reviews for leadership approval, managing vendor prequalification processes, and potentially supervising one direct report through mentoring and process improvement initiatives.
- • Ameresco is a leading energy solutions provider serving public sector, government, K-12 schools, higher education, utilities, and healthcare customers across the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Europe, specializing in smart energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, and infrastructure upgrades that deliver cost savings, resilience, and innovation.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in utility-scale solar contracting, strengthen cross-functional leadership and negotiation skills, gain experience in strategic vendor management and cost optimization, and contribute directly to Ameresco’s sustainability goals while advancing professionally in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Logistics, or a related field
- • Minimum of 5 years of solar or related experience
- • Working knowledge of EPC contracts, preferably in utility scale solar
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- • Solar Industry experience
- • Proficiency in conducting negotiations with vendors
- • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- • Strong organizational, time management, and people skills; detail-oriented
