📋 Description

• Roku is seeking a Senior Counsel, Employment and Labor to join its Legal team, providing strategic guidance on a broad range of employment, labor, benefits, and related matters across the UK, EMEA, and global operations.
• In this role, you will partner closely with People Business Partners, People Shared Services, Compensation & Benefits, and other cross-functional teams to translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable advice.
• You will draft and negotiate employment agreements, settlement agreements, and other key documents, while managing employment-related claims, litigation, and outside counsel relationships.
• You will monitor evolving employment legislation and proactively drive compliance strategies and risk mitigation across the organization.
• This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, innovative environment, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in UK employment and labor law, with exposure to additional EMEA or international jurisdictions, and a commitment to practical, business-oriented legal counsel.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified legal professional with 6 or more years of post-qualification experience advising on employment and labor matters at a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Deep knowledge of UK employment and labor laws, with exposure to additional EMEA jurisdictions or India preferred.
• Prior in-house legal experience strongly preferred.
• Experience advising on employment and labor issues in the technology, entertainment, or content production industries preferred.
