- • As a Senior Counsel, Commercial Americas at ResMed Inc., you will provide strategic legal support for healthcare technology, SaaS, digital health, and medical device businesses, enabling scalable growth while managing legal, regulatory, privacy, and commercial risk across a portfolio of software, platform, data, and connected medical technology offerings.
- • Day to day, you will advise revenue, marketing, and product teams on complex legal issues; review and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS and data processing contracts; counsel on healthcare fraud and abuse laws (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law), privacy regulations (HIPAA, state laws), and competition law; support technology integrations and interoperability initiatives; manage disputes and litigation; collaborate with global legal counterparts; and supervise outside counsel as needed.
- • You will join ResMed’s Legal team, which manages the company’s legal affairs, including intellectual property, disputes, and regulatory compliance, within a culture focused on innovation, diversity, inclusion, and making the world a healthier place through sleep and respiratory care solutions.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in healthcare technology law, lead cross-functional initiatives with product and commercial teams, influence go-to-market strategies for innovative digital health solutions, and contribute to ResMed’s mission by navigating complex regulatory landscapes while advancing scalable, compliant business growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate or law degree from an accredited law school
- • Minimum of 7-10+ years of legal experience supporting technology, SaaS, software, digital health, healthcare technology, or medical device businesses
- • Must be in good standing and actively licensed to practice law in California or any U.S. state
- • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial and technology transactions, including SaaS, data-sharing, and technology partnership agreements
- • Experience in healthcare, digital health, DME, diagnostic testing, provider services, or medical device industries
- • CIPP-US certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within first year)
