• • Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as the go-to counsel for hardware engineering, product design, manufacturing operations, and procurement teams; drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements such as supply, development, licensing, and manufacturing contracts; identifying and addressing legal issues related to commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, privacy, and product risks; developing scalable legal strategies to support business growth; monitoring regulatory developments affecting hardware and technology; and collaborating with OpenAI’s global legal team to ensure jurisdictional alignment.
• • The Legal team at OpenAI is composed of professionals from diverse legal backgrounds including technology, AI, privacy, IP, corporate, employment, tax, regulatory, and litigation, working closely across the company to advance the mission of ensuring artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
