- • Senior Credit Risk Manager - Cards at Lendable Ltd, a fast-growing UK-based fintech unicorn expanding into the US market, responsible for shaping credit decisioning, strategy, and portfolio performance for the US Cards business.
- • Day to day: Build and optimize credit card portfolios with growth targets; define credit strategies; own end-to-end testing and experimentation; develop monitoring and analytics suites; create forecasting and valuation models; derive insights using Python and SQL; collaborate with product, engineering, data, and operations teams; monitor strategy effectiveness and drive improvements.
- • About the team or company: Lendable is a profitable, investor-backed fintech (Balderton Capital, Goldman Sachs) with over 700 employees, known for rebuilding consumer finance products (loans, credit cards, car finance) using technology, AI, and new data sources to deliver credit in minutes; expanding into the US and UK markets to challenge legacy banking systems.
- • What the person can learn or achieve: Gain ownership of high-impact credit risk decisions in a scaling fintech; deepen expertise in ML/AI-driven credit strategy, experimentation, and unit economics; influence investor reporting and portfolio valuation; work in small, resourceful teams solving complex financial problems with cutting-edge technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Daily coding experience with Python and SQL
- • Proven experience in credit risk strategy within consumer lending or finance
- • Deep understanding of experimentation, measurement, and statistical inference (power, significance, bias, causality, guardrails)
- • Strong understanding of credit performance and unit economics in lending
- • Strategic thinking and ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable decisions
- • Collaborative, growth mindset with willingness to challenge assumptions
