You will be instrumental in architecting and scaling comprehensive customer advocacy programs, sophisticated lifecycle marketing campaigns, effective upsell enablement strategies, compelling case studies, and engaging community experiences. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing customer retention, accelerating revenue expansion, and fostering deep brand affinity.

  • • Your primary responsibility will be to own and execute the overarching customer marketing strategy. This involves designing and implementing targeted programs that deepen customer engagement and cultivate advocacy throughout their entire journey with Fundraise Up – from the initial onboarding phase, through periods of expansion, and ultimately to becoming vocal evangelists for our platform.
  • • A key focus will be launching and scaling robust customer reference and advocacy programs. You will identify and engage our most enthusiastic and successful users, activating them to participate in case studies, provide testimonials, act as peer referrals, speak at events, and collaborate on co-marketing initiatives. This will involve building strong relationships and understanding their unique success stories.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and executing sophisticated lifecycle marketing campaigns. This includes crafting targeted email sequences, organizing informative webinars, and creating valuable content touchpoints designed to drive deeper product adoption, encourage the utilization of key features, and prepare customers for upsell opportunities. These campaigns will be crucial in nurturing customer relationships and maximizing their value.
  • • A significant part of your role will be to drive tangible retention and revenue outcomes. You will collaborate closely with the Customer Success, Sales, and broader Marketing teams to increase Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and accelerate account expansion. This will be achieved through effective customer education, highlighting the platform's value proposition, and showcasing successful use cases.
  • • You will play a key role in building and nurturing customer community experiences. This includes contributing to the planning and execution of engaging events such as customer dinners, regional meetups, the development of an online community forum, and educational briefings. These initiatives are designed to foster peer-to-peer learning, strengthen relationships, and enhance overall customer engagement.
  • • A critical function will be to effectively tell the customer story. You will collaborate with our content and product marketing teams to craft compelling narratives through case studies, video testimonials, and customer-led sessions for both internal and external events, including webinars and conferences. Your ability to translate customer success into impactful stories will be vital.
  • • You will be expected to measure what matters, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) in partnership with the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing. You will meticulously track and report on the performance of all customer marketing programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and identifying areas for optimization.
  • • This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong bias for action. You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and diving into the execution details to bring your strategies to fruition. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally, will be essential in bringing customer stories and product value to life.
  • • Success in this role hinges on exceptional collaboration skills. You will need a proven track record of achieving cross-functional wins by effectively partnering with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams, ensuring alignment and shared success.
  • • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms is crucial, with a preference for HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools, to manage and execute campaigns efficiently.
  • • Finally, you must be comfortable and thrive in a high-growth, startup environment. This means being self-directed, proactive, adaptable, and able to navigate ambiguity with confidence.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, or advocacy/community roles within B2B SaaS environments, with a preference for experience in martech, fundraising tech, or adjacent industries.
  • • Demonstrated strategic thinking coupled with a strong bias for execution; comfortable taking initiative and driving projects from conception to completion.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and articulate product value propositions effectively.
  • • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams, to achieve shared goals.
  • • Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • • Adaptability and a proactive mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
