• • As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our understanding and optimization of subscription billing and payment systems. This is a critical position where you will own the analytics for our core billing operations, ensuring data accuracy, driving strategic insights, and empowering key stakeholders with actionable information.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to build, maintain, and optimize robust data pipelines using technologies like Tinybird and ClickHouse. These pipelines will serve as the backbone for our critical dashboards and self-serve analytics platforms, providing real-time insights into our business performance.
• • You will be instrumental in defining and maintaining a comprehensive suite of core billing metrics. This includes, but is not limited to, gross and net revenue, refund rates, chargeback and dispute rates, payment approval rates, customer churn, lifetime value (LTV), monthly and annual recurring revenue (MRR/ARR), and detailed cohort retention analysis. Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of these metrics will be paramount.
• • A significant part of your role will involve designing, developing, and iterating on sophisticated dashboards and visualizations. These will be tailored for various internal teams, including Billing, Finance, Product, Customer Support, and Risk Management, enabling them to make informed, data-driven decisions on a daily basis.
• • You will be the go-to expert for investigating anomalies and data quality issues within our billing systems. This includes proactively identifying and diagnosing problems such as unexpected spikes in refunds, rising dispute rates, or sudden drops in payment approval rates. Your role will involve performing thorough root-cause analysis and proposing effective, data-backed solutions and actions.
• • Collaboration with our engineering teams will be essential. You will partner closely with them to ensure proper data instrumentation and event tracking are implemented, guaranteeing the highest quality and integrity of our billing data from its source.
• • Maintaining comprehensive documentation is a key aspect of this role. You will be responsible for documenting all data logic, including metric definitions, table structures, and pipeline behaviors. Furthermore, you will establish and implement rigorous quality checks, including automated tests and continuous monitoring, to uphold data reliability.
• • This role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced analytical tools and databases, specifically ClickHouse, where you will focus on query tuning and data modeling to maximize performance for analytical workloads. You will also gain valuable experience with modern data pipeline orchestration and transformation tools.
• • You will leverage your expertise in advanced SQL, including complex joins, window functions, incremental logic, and performance-aware query writing, to extract and transform data effectively. Experience with Git workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, and versioning of SQL and data logic, is crucial for collaborative development.
• • The ability to communicate complex findings and insights clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a vital skill for this position. You will translate data into compelling narratives that drive business strategy and operational improvements.
