đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Senior Data Analyst at Pearl Health, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable business insights, serving as the architect and guardian of the trusted data models that underpin critical decisions across clinical outcomes and profit & loss.
  • • You are not just a builder of data models; you are a strategic partner who understands the practical application of data. With a background honed in the trenches as a Data Analyst or BI Engineer, you possess a deep understanding of how downstream users in BI tools interact with data, ensuring your models are not only accurate but also highly usable and intuitive.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between complex datasets and tangible business value, empowering the entire organization with self-service data capabilities.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to design and maintain a robust, scalable, and self-service data environment.
  • • Instead of merely responding to ad-hoc queries, you will proactively codify intricate business logic into clean, well-documented, and reusable datasets.
  • • This approach will empower all departments to confidently explore key areas such as practice engagement, patient spend, and network analytics, driving informed strategic planning and operational improvements.
  • • You will be instrumental in driving team best practices by actively managing pull requests, conducting rigorous code reviews, and meticulously maintaining documentation within a Git-based workflow.
  • • Applying software engineering principles, including automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, will be crucial to ensure the reliability, robustness, and scalability of our data pipelines.
  • • Partnering with our technical lead, you will design flexible and scalable data models that accurately capture the complex ontological relationships inherent in healthcare data, striking a crucial balance between addressing immediate business needs and ensuring long-term architectural integrity.
  • • You will translate high-level company objectives into governed, reusable data models within dbt and Snowflake, establishing these models as the definitive 'source of truth' for downstream BI tools like Hex.
  • • A core part of your role involves executing the design and development of robust data transformation pipelines, with a strong emphasis on modularity, performance optimization, and maintainability to ensure our data assets can scale seamlessly with increasing data volumes.
  • • You will go beyond basic schema design by implementing comprehensive automated testing, including data freshness checks, schema validation, and null value assessments, alongside robust observability practices.
  • • This commitment to quality and reliability will ensure that all stakeholders have implicit trust in the data they use for decision-making.
  • • You will collaborate effectively with Data Engineering to define precise ingestion requirements and with Product Customer Success teams to accurately scope analytical needs, adeptly transforming vague business problems into concrete, actionable technical requirements.
  • • Working alongside the technical lead, you will proactively identify areas of technical debt and architectural opportunities, proposing innovative solutions that align our data infrastructure with our strategic 6-month OKRs.
  • • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a passion for building sophisticated analytical systems, and understands the critical trade-offs between development speed, thoroughness, and long-term scalability.
  • • Your work will directly impact Pearl Health's mission to power the future of healthcare by enabling primary care providers to deliver exceptional, proactive care and optimize performance in value-based care models.
