Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of anti-spoofing analytics at GeoComply, translating complex fraud patterns into production-grade detection systems that protect 400 million devices and 12 billion annual transactions. You will architect, build, and continuously refine the data pipelines, models, and dashboards that stop location-fraud networks before they impact our global gaming, sports-betting, and fintech customers.
- • Lead strategic initiatives to identify and neutralize emerging geo-blocking bypass techniques such as VPN tunnelling, GPS spoofing, device emulation, and coordinated bot attacks. You will design A/B experiments, measure uplift, and iterate on rule engines and ML models to stay ahead of adversarial actors in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
- • Build and maintain scalable, cloud-native analytics infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, leveraging Databricks, Spark SQL, and distributed computing to process terabytes of geolocation, device-fingerprint, and behavioral data in near real time. You will implement ETL/ELT workflows, version-controlled Python modules, and automated CI/CD pipelines that ensure data quality, reproducibility, and rapid deployment.
- • Conduct deep-dive investigations into sophisticated fraud rings, applying network analysis, graph algorithms, and geospatial clustering to uncover hidden relationships and behavioral anomalies. Your findings will directly inform new product features, regulatory compliance strategies, and executive-level risk decisions.
- • Translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable narratives for C-suite stakeholders, product managers, and engineers. You will craft executive dashboards in Looker/Tableau, present quarterly business reviews, and influence roadmaps that balance user experience, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency.
- • Mentor and up-skill a growing team of mid-level and junior analysts through pair programming, code reviews, brown-bag sessions, and documented best practices. You will establish coding standards, analytical playbooks, and hiring rubrics that raise the bar for data excellence across GeoComply.
- • Partner with engineering, product, and compliance teams to define KPIs, success metrics, and experimentation frameworks that quantify the impact of every new detection model or policy change. You will champion a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
- • Contribute to GeoComply’s thought-leadership by publishing whitepapers, speaking at industry conferences, and releasing open-source tools that advance the state of anti-fraud analytics. Your work will shape industry standards and reinforce GeoComply’s reputation as the global leader in geolocation compliance.
- • Stay at the cutting edge of data science and cybersecurity research, experimenting with Large Language Models, adversarial machine learning, and real-time streaming analytics (Kafka, Flink) to push the boundaries of what’s possible in fraud prevention.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–7 years of progressive experience in data analysis or data science, with a proven track record of deploying fraud-detection, risk, or cybersecurity models that delivered measurable business impact.
- • Expert-level SQL and advanced Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib/Seaborn) with production-grade coding standards, version control (Git), and data-warehousing best practices.
- • Deep knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and causal inference; hands-on experience building classification, clustering, anomaly-detection, and time-series models.
- • Proficiency in modern BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) and the ability to craft executive-level dashboards that drive strategic decisions.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative field; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Hybrid working model (3 days in-office) with a modern District 1 location, free parking, and an international, high-energy team culture.
- • Competitive salary package with 100 % salary during probation, 13th-month bonus, business-performance bonus, equity plans, and annual salary review.
- • 20 annual leave days, 5 sick leave days, premium health insurance (Bao Viet or Liberty), and full social, unemployment & health-insurance contributions based on full salary.
- • Professional development budget, local & global training opportunities, knowledge-sharing sessions, and clear career-growth pathways in a fast-scaling tech Unicorn.
