📋 Description

• Senior Data Engineer role focused on building AI-powered agent systems that automate internal workflows and increase organizational speed of execution
• Own and evolve streaming data pipelines for real-time model serving, design feature stores for low-latency ML serving, and implement streaming systems using RisingWave, Flink, or Kafka Streams
• Part of the Agent Systems team at Kraken, a 0→1 engineering group building internal AI agents that interact with company systems to drive automation and intelligent inference
• Opportunity to shape the technical roadmap for streaming and feature store technologies while working at the intersection of AI, backend systems, and applied product engineering in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data engineering with at least 5 years of data engineering experience with 2+ years focused on streaming systems in production
• Hands-on experience with RisingWave, Apache Flink, Kafka Streams, or comparable stream processing frameworks
• Proficiency in Python and/or Scala with strong understanding of feature store design (online/offline consistency, point-in-time correctness, low-latency serving)
• Proficiency in Python and/or Scala with SQL fluency required, plus experience building data pipelines that feed production ML models or inference systems
