đź“‹ Description
- • SewerAI is at the forefront of revolutionizing underground infrastructure management, leveraging cutting-edge AI to transform how we inspect and analyze sewer systems. Our innovative platform empowers contractors, engineering firms, and utility companies to extract profound insights from raw sewer inspection data. We convert hours of tedious manual video review into actionable intelligence in mere minutes, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making. Following a remarkable doubling of our customer base in the past year, SewerAI is now poised for an exhilarating phase of accelerated growth, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic AI team.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in developing and deploying sophisticated applied machine learning solutions specifically tailored for sewer infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on creating advanced anomaly detection systems, robust time series forecasting models, and predictive analytics that enable utilities to proactively anticipate, diagnose, and prevent critical infrastructure failures. You will collaborate closely with our dedicated engineering and data teams, contributing to the end-to-end development of machine learning systems. These systems will be responsible for analyzing vast amounts of sensor data, identifying subtle anomalies, and delivering clear, actionable insights directly to our diverse customer base. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise to a domain with significant societal impact, contributing to the safety and reliability of essential public services.
- • What You'll Work On:
- • Anomaly Detection Systems: You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of machine learning models designed to identify unusual patterns, deviations, and potential issues within complex sewer infrastructure data. This includes exploring various statistical and deep learning approaches to accurately flag anomalies that might indicate structural weaknesses, blockages, or other critical problems.
- • Time Series Forecasting Models: You will build and refine predictive models that forecast future states of infrastructure health and predict optimal maintenance schedules. This involves leveraging advanced time series analysis techniques to understand trends, seasonality, and underlying patterns in historical data, enabling proactive intervention.
- • Machine Learning Model Development: You will design, train, evaluate, and iterate on a variety of machine learning models specifically tailored for the unique challenges of sewer infrastructure data. This includes selecting appropriate algorithms, feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and ensuring model robustness and scalability.
- • Data Analysis and Pipelines: You will develop and maintain robust data pipelines for processing, cleaning, and analyzing large volumes of infrastructure data at scale. This involves working with our data engineering team to ensure data quality, accessibility, and efficient processing for ML model training and inference.
- • Dashboards and Reporting: You will create compelling visualizations and insightful reports, likely using tools like Hex, to effectively communicate complex findings and model performance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- • Collaboration and Innovation: You will actively participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and contribute to the overall AI strategy of SewerAI. You'll work cross-functionally with product managers, software engineers, and domain experts to translate business needs into effective ML solutions.
- • Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and time series analysis, and explore their applicability to our specific domain challenges. Propose and experiment with novel approaches to further enhance our AI capabilities.
- • Model Deployment and Monitoring: While not the primary focus, you will collaborate with engineering teams on the deployment of models into production environments and contribute to monitoring their performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on critical infrastructure, working with a modern technology stack in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. You will have significant ownership and influence over the direction of our predictive analytics capabilities as we continue to scale.
