• • As a Senior Data Scientist at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the economic freedom mission by contributing to the development of the emerging onchain platform and the global financial system. You will be instrumental in driving product innovation and strategic decision-making through deep expertise in data science, analytics, and advanced modeling.
• • This role is specifically within the Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) and Stablecoins team, focusing on enhancing the experience for developers building decentralized applications and integrating crypto into existing apps, as well as enabling instant global payments through stablecoins.
• • You will be responsible for defining key metrics for developer tools, meticulously crafting user funnels to understand user journeys, and translating complex user behavior data into actionable product insights that directly influence the product roadmap.
• • Your work may extend to analyzing stablecoin economics, tracking fund flows across the ecosystem, and contributing to the design of programs aimed at increasing global stablecoin liquidity, leveraging both proprietary and public data sources.
• • You will be expected to conduct in-depth analyses and deep dives into ambiguous business problems, producing clear insights and well-reasoned recommendations that guide the team's strategic direction and decision-making processes.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve acting as the primary owner for a broad spectrum of data and metrics, from the foundational logging infrastructure to the sophisticated presentation of data visualizations for various stakeholders.
• • You will be a key contributor to the team's technical excellence, guiding code reviews, providing expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python, and developing and maintaining robust, well-documented ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• • Maintaining a high standard for statistical rigor will be paramount. You will ensure that all experimentation and causal analyses conducted by the team are statistically sound, building strong confidence and trust with product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
• • You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams, acting as a trusted advisor and data expert to influence product strategy and execution.
