Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as a Senior Delivery Manager embedded within software engineering teams to ensure predictable, high-integrity delivery of complex FinTech solutions across both sprint-based and Kanban-based operating models.
- • Maintain and enhance delivery visibility across dependency-heavy workstreams by tracking cross-team blockers, integration risks, and upstream/downstream exposure to prevent delays and misalignment.
- • Model the impact of scope changes, timeline shifts, and capacity constraints using data-driven frameworks to present structured trade-off options to engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders.
- • Drive backlog readiness discipline by ensuring all work entering execution is well-defined, properly sized, and dependency-mapped before sprint or Kanban intake.
- • Proactively identify, quantify, and surface delivery risks through structured narratives that enable timely decision-making and recovery planning by engineering and product leadership.
- • Operate as a bridge between engineering, QA, architecture, and platform teams to coordinate cross-functional dependencies and resolve integration-level blockers efficiently.
- • Manage and optimize delivery systems to reduce rework, carryover, and execution variability by implementing and refining operational norms, metrics, and feedback loops.
- • Leverage AI-assisted tooling (e.g., LLMs, AI-augmented Jira workflows) to accelerate operational artifacts such as status summaries, risk narratives, and backlog syntheses, while maintaining human judgment on prioritization and stakeholder framing.
- • Apply flow-based metrics (lead time, cycle time, WIP, queue depth) to monitor team health, identify bottlenecks, and drive structural improvements in service-oriented and interrupt-driven environments.
- • Enforce sprint entry discipline by ensuring user stories meet Definition of Ready standards before planning, and protect sprint commitments from scope creep by modeling impact of additions.
- • Track and improve sprint predictability using velocity trends, carryover rates, and planning accuracy as key signals to adjust team processes and increase reliability.
- • Run structured retrospectives focused on systemic delivery friction, driving follow-through on actionable improvements to enhance team performance over time.
- • Coordinate and socialize production release schedules in advance with engineering teams, Product Managers, and change advisory boards to ensure readiness and minimize disruption.
- • Balance intake discipline with responsiveness in Kanban systems by protecting planned work from reactive demand pressure while maintaining flow efficiency.
- • Model context-switching costs and WIP impact to preserve team focus and throughput in environments with mixed planned and operational work.
- • Communicate delivery feasibility, confidence levels, and recovery options clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating engineering consequences into business terms.
- • Maintain working fluency in technical systems, including API dependencies, integration surfaces, and release risk contexts, to effectively collaborate with engineering teams.
- • Support a hybrid operating model that includes both iteration-based (sprint) and continuous-flow (Kanban) teams within the same organization, adapting delivery practices to each context without compromising rigor.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5 to 7 years of delivery management experience embedded within software engineering teams in a FinTech or similarly regulated, technically complex environment
- • Demonstrated ability to influence engineer and product manager behavior through structure, data, and clear framing
- • Proven experience building or materially improving delivery systems by reducing carryover, improving commitment reliability, or increasing planning quality through structural changes
- • Deep SDLC fluency, including integration complexity, release management, dependency modeling, and cross-team coordination
- • Strong working knowledge of Jira for dependency tracking, delivery modeling, and operational insight
- • Comfort operating in API-heavy, integration-dependent backend environments where delivery risk lives in the connections between systems
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive Compensation
- • Full Health Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Paid Parental Leave
- • Company-Matched 401k
- • Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and Paid Volunteer Hours
- • Employee Stock Purchase Program
- • Tuition Reimbursement
